Investors in People is a flexible framework that organisations can adapt to its own requirements and is a recognised standard. Businesses can use this as a tool to improve the organisation's performance through its people.

The IIP standard is built upon three principles:

  • PLAN        Developing strategies to improve the performance of the organisation
  • DO           Taking action to improve the performance to the organisation
  • REVIEW    Evaluating the impact on the performance to the organisation
